I have a question reguarding the fact: More Tony Awards have been given to musicals about trains than any other topic.

I don't believe this is true. The only two musicals about trains are "On the 20th Century" which won 4 Tonys at the 1978 awards, and "Starlight Express" which won one award in the 1980s. That is a total of 5 Tony Awards. The Producers won 13 Tonys for a show about producers. Are there some train musicals that I'm missing somewhere?

Well, obviously, if you've only counted 5 Tony Awards!

I do believe that Skimbleshanks the Railway Cat, mentioned in the musical Cats, was indeed on a train.

♫ Skimbleshanks, the railway cat, the cat of the railway train. There's a whisper down the line at eleven thirty-nine
When the Night Mail's ready to depart. Saying, "Skimble, where is Skimble? Has he gone to hunt the thimble? We must find him or the train can't start."♫

Thanks for getting that one stuck in my head, Udo.
