I just don't know where to begin with this sentence.
I still think Robert Heinlein's theory that it's 6^6^6 is more sound, but he was a sci-fi writer and given to grandiose exaggeration.
From a cultural standpoint, the number of the beast is indeed 666 (if you repeat something enough times, it becomes truth). However, the authors of the book of Revelation intended for the number of the beast to be 216.
666 is not actually the number of the beast anyway, that arose from a mistranslation of 616, so that factoid is half true...
