    If put back in their box and placed on top of recycling bins, bent paper clips will be recycled.

    What exactly does this mean, and where can I get more information?

    In order for your friendly neighborhood recycled goods collector to recycle paperclips, they must be placed in a small cardboard box (such as the one they came in) and placed on top of the collection bin.

    You can take them down to the local recycling centers, also. It depends on what state you're in, but you can make up to 40 cents an ounce. They won't take the bulldog clips though, I can vouch for that. :shamed:

    Office Depot and Staples announced this month that they will also accept used paper clips for recycling as long as they are in a sealed cardboard box.
