I heard this morning that a german study has been released showing that bees after being exposed to electromagnetic radiation can't find their way back to their hives after going out searching for pollen and nectar etc (something like 70% of the bees got lost and died)
It apparently messes with their navigational systems
Also i heard that einstein once said that once the bees are gone in 4 years we will die aswell which sounds ridiculous
can anyone shed light on this situation?

electricity is driven by an electric field which is independent of any medium.

Like rubber or copper.

Nobody said this until about 4 years ago, apparently. MAYBE Einstein said this and somebody remembered it many years after he died, but I doubt it. It is reasonable, though. Bees pollinate flowers. Without reproduction of flowers, the entire ecosystem is in danger of collapsing.
I killed a bee once by throwing my cell phone at it. Does that count?
The whole bees being thrown off by electromagnetic radiation really explains why every time I have been stung by a bee it has always been in my armpit. Maybe it thinks Secret is really a flower.
Some plants are pollinated in other ways such as wind etc but yeah, take out a can and the display topples.
if you know what i mean..

Did you name your armpit?
Secret is a women's deoderant, Trance.
(I wasn't really sure if you knew that or not.)
oh, LOL!
Shows what I know.
Bees pick up on electromagnetic waves emitted by the high density of bees in the hive. The waves radiating from cell phones and cell phone towers would send the waves from another direction making it much more difficult.
Can somebody explain to me how bees emit electromagnetic waves?
No, I didn't think so.
they carry tiny electromagnets in their teeth?

No, I didn't think so.
I can, but it wouldn't be a correct explanation.
I went to a bbq last evening, and we conducted a little experiment. See, my one friend, he's a garden supply guy -- so he knew how to get a crate of bees. Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that we all placed outgoing calls on our cell phones and dropped them in with the bees. You guessed it. Pretty soon they were getting all loopy and strange, and then they dropped dead. Does anyone know if bees are recyclable?
I think they can be used to make ice cream.
Dip them in chocolate and export them to Indonesia. You'll make a killing.
(especially if they were killer bees)
Bury them beneath your petunias.
I think I'd finally get a cell phone if it did the same to mosquitos.
It won't work for mosquitos. The insect must have antennae of the right length. The effect is more pronounced when the wavelength is an integer multiplier of the antenna length. It is possible that a bluetooth transmitter works this way. That's why people wearing bluetooth headsets get bitten less frequently - especially on the ear.

No arguments there!
I don't know if this is related, but my brother who works in telecom said one of the features of phone speakers is the ability to transmit sound THROUGH ear wax. Ear wax... bee wax? There's probably a link.
They're both a kind of wax?
How about through turtle wax?
There has been a decline in turtles too. I think you're onto something!
Don't forget sex wax. I'm pretty sure there's been a decline in sex too, if my life is any indicator.
Missing Jollywood, are you?
