    don't get me wrong, i love science, but i can't find the definition of this term and it's really bugging me.

    anybody know what a calogen is?

    It is a very uncommon unit of scientific measurement. One calogen is equal to the amount of calories expended to convert two atoms of hydrogen and one of oxygen into a water molecule. I can't remember exactly, but I think it's something like 7.2 calories.
