The origin of the string of numbers, 4 8 15 16 23 42, made famous by the hit TV series Lost have finally been revealed. The numbers orignally appeared as the string, 4-8-1-5-1-6-2-3-4-2, in an encrypted Mossad (Enigma ID: E10) spy message broadcasted over AM radio frequency 19715. The message was sent to someone with the code name "Hurley"; hence, the origin of main character, Hugo, nicknamed Hurley on the show Lost. The entire broadcast in which the numbers appeared has not been entirely deciphered. Some portions of the broadcast have been decoded; it is known that Hurley the spy was instructed to infiltrate the Presidential bakery of then Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. Once on the inside, Hurley was to contact 4-8-1-5-1-6-2-3-4-2, or B-L-O-N-D-E-G-I-R-L (apparently the same numeral may represent more than one character). Most other aspects of the message are indeciperable, but it is known that Hurley was also instructed to foul the President's Key Lime Pie with Habanero sauce.

This came up last month during my research into "the numbers":
• The UPC code 4815162342 had been assigned to the 8 oz. can of New Coke, introduced on 4/23/1985 and discontinued on 8/16/1992. It is unclear whether the connection to the TV show Lost is coincidental or intentional on the part of its producers.
Exactly what Taed said. I'm 100% positive that they made the numbers up, or in this case, happened to have them from a coke can.
Everyone is entitled to believe what they want, no matter how wrong their beliefs, but I know the version I have shared here is a verbatim report of the origin of the numbers. The MOSSAD spy was engaging in psychological warfare with the Palestinian President.

Why would the Palestinian president be affected psychologically by someone ruining his pie? That's even more ridiculous that how the U.S. tried to ruin Castro's self esteem by chemically removing his beard. It also sounds a little far fetched to me. And correct spelling and grammar don't really matter in a positive way. It's just expected if you're serious.

that shows sucks, i watched the first series and half of the second but it just got so retarded and was basically learning nothing each time so i stopped watching.
