    They are lollipops that have a hard candy coating and a tootsie roll core. A tootsie roll is kind of like chocolate flavored chewing gum, but thicker and you are supposed to swollow it. It is not chocolate gum because chocolate gum is impossible to make.

    Tootsie is the single largest candy producer. It has several brands all over the world by different names, which may explain why you haven't heard of it. I would look them up, but I don't want to.

    Tootsie rolls stopped tasting like chocolate a while back. Now they sort of remind me of caramel, but with a different taste and granularity.

    They taste more like cylinders of hard chocolate to me. And I don't mean the crunchy brittle type, I mean the break your teeth type. They always get the wrapper stuck on them to.

    I purchased twenty 100-count bags of Tootsie Pops (and twenty 100-count bags of Tootsie Rolls) for $5.99 at the local store.

    Now, I was without internet connection for quite awhile, so I had plenty of time while playing old computer games and watching the Gullible.info Bowl (I still can't believe Alaska A&M made that comeback!) Nice speech, btw, Kyle. But I digress.

    I just did some fact checking and found that tootsie does not distribute in England. Looks like you should search E-Bay, though I wouldn't trust any food I get off there...

    Tootsie rolls taste like nothing else. They're too hard and not chewy enough.
