We often hear from folks-- kids doing homework, scientists, etc-- grateful for this important and useful internet resource. But a couple of months ago, we were startled to receive a rare negative comment:
type of message: Negative
comments: You LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now wait just a second! Hold on there!
We here at Gullible.info are working our hearts out, ever striving to bring the most important, the most up-to-date, and the most relevant research to our readers.
We realize some of our facts may be uncomfortable, or unusual, or hard to verify, but we stand by our reputation for integrity and insight.
We think we deserve the same respect as other leaders in society. Would it be polite to burst on into, say, a pharmaceutical company and call them a bunch of quacks and thieves? No! Or write a major food processor and accuse them of pushing pap and poison? NO! Or criticize our legitimately elected leaders, calling them dissemblers and liars? NO WAY!
We love our work here, selflessly bringing all the wonders of the world to our readers. In return, all we ask for is to be treated with the courtesy and open-mindedness extended to others of our station.
And the worst part about that, in my opinion, is that the person you quoted didn't provide any contact information, nor did they reference a particular fact. So even if we could get ahold of them, we wouldn't have been able to send them citations.
I guess there's always going to be mean people, though.
I think some theories about the fact you guys "lied" about are in order. Here's mine:
I think it was a right-wing, gun-toting, Born Again Christian from Alabama, and they were upset that you posted that Jesus was a vegetarian, which makes him a pansy in their book.
And no son of their God is gonna be called a pansy, if they have anything to say about it!
I'm upset by the fact that the writer probably just copied and pasted his comments. It shows he or she simply didn't care enough to justify the extra keystrokes.
this person has belifs that are set in stone and gullible.info crossed one iam not sure whitch thought?
I personally believe that Gullible.Info is a reliable source of fun facts and tidbits of information. Who would send such a horrible comment to the staff of Gullible.Info?
As you can see, there's been something of a coup here at Gullible.Info headquarters. The former big-wigs have been ousted, and Mr. Legatissimo has been insted.
Hopefully, a press release will be made public later today.
